Important: By using the WayMate mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the WayMate mobile application ("App") and related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.
2. Service Description
WayMate is a ride-sharing platform that connects drivers and passengers for transportation services. Our Services include:
- Matching drivers with passengers
- Processing payments for rides
- Providing real-time location tracking
- Facilitating communication between users
- Managing booking and trip scheduling
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
- You must create an account to use our Services
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
3.2 Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
- You may not share your account credentials with others
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
4. Driver Requirements
4.1 Driver Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have valid vehicle registration and insurance
- Must pass background checks and vehicle inspections
- Must maintain a minimum rating of 4.0 stars
4.2 Driver Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable transportation services
- Maintain vehicle in good condition
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Treat passengers with respect and professionalism
- Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately
5. Passenger Responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup and drop-off locations
- Be ready for pickup at the scheduled time
- Treat drivers with respect and courtesy
- Follow safety guidelines and instructions
- Pay for services as agreed
- Report any safety concerns or incidents
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed through secure payment processors
- Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and demand
- Additional fees may apply for cancellations or special services
- Payment is due immediately upon completion of service
6.2 Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations within 5 minutes of pickup: No charge
- Cancellations after 5 minutes: $5 cancellation fee
- No-shows: Full fare may be charged
- Driver cancellations: No charge to passenger
7. Safety and Security
Safety First: Your safety is our top priority. If you feel unsafe at any time, contact emergency services immediately.

7.2 Prohibited Activities
- No illegal activities or transportation of illegal items
- No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
- No smoking or consumption of alcohol in vehicles
- No weapons or dangerous items
- No exceeding vehicle capacity limits
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Intellectual Property
- The App and Services are owned by WayMate
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property
- You retain ownership of content you create
- You grant us license to use content for service provision
10. Limitation of Liability
Important: WayMate acts as a platform connecting drivers and passengers. We are not responsible for the actions of individual drivers or passengers.
10.1 Service Limitations
- We do not guarantee availability of drivers or rides
- We are not responsible for delays or cancellations
- We do not guarantee specific arrival times
- We are not liable for accidents or incidents during rides
10.2 Liability Limits
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for third-party actions or services
11. Dispute Resolution
- We encourage resolution of disputes through customer support
- Disputes may be resolved through mediation or arbitration
- Legal proceedings must be filed in our jurisdiction
- Class action lawsuits are not permitted
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
- You may terminate your account at any time
- Termination does not affect completed transactions
- You remain liable for any outstanding payments

- We may terminate accounts for Terms violations
- We may suspend services for safety or legal reasons
- We will provide notice when possible
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or email. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
